Remembering life from the tender age of eleven through twenty five, tells a story of a boy who is trying to understand his place in life after the Jim-Crow days. He comes home to find a new war to fight as a love he leaves behind is still in his heart. The girlfriend he went to war loving is a woman now, who has her own path to follow but still loves him.
