Anna is a sixty-nine year old retired English teacher. She likes to walk and is a Human Rights activist. She seeks Mr. Right. Her quest leads her, among other adventures, to a chess champion and a judge. At journey's end, she meets William, an American former university Professor living in Paris. He is a fine cook and a splendid companion. Alas, illness stalks their idyll.
