M?dard Bourgault (1897-1967) was the forefather of a long tradition of renowned wood sculptors in the Saint-Jean-Port-Joli region of Quebec, Canada. Today--in his own words and through personal anecdotes and 200 colour photos--his son opens the door to all the magnificent works of art inside his father's former home and tells the story of a great era.

This 8.5 x 8.5 in. book, written in French, is also a catalogue of all the art pieces on M?dard Bourgault's property. It describes the main house and the three important additions built by the artist and his sons at the foot of a cliff on a big lot alongside the St Lawrence River. The pictures describe in vivid colors all the works of art inside and outside those four buildings.
