Overall, ISO 20022 plays an important role in modernizing and harmonizing financial communications, supporting various aspects of the financial industry, including cross-border payments, securities trading, trade finance, etc. This lack of standardization often leads to interoperability issues, increased deployment costs, and manual intervention in message processing. On the other hand, blockchain and cryptos are here to stay. Sooner or later, we will see a transfer of wealth.
