The present work aims to evaluate two plants derived proteins; Cajanus cajan(Leguminsae) and Caesallpinia gilliesii (Leguminsae) seeds for their abilities to ameliorate the toxic effects of acetoaminphen after chronic doses. Improvement in all biochemical parameters studied was noticed as the result of treatment of intoxicated rats with Caesallpinia gilliesii and Cajanus cajan proteins either co-administered with or post paracetamol treatment. These results were documented by the amelioration signs in rats hepatic and renal architecture. Thus both plant protein extracts can up- regulate and counteract the inflammatory process, minimize damage of the liver, delay disease progression and reduce its complications.
