In this work, they have been used to evaluate the uncertainty of both modeled and measured UV spectra. These applications have shown that Monte Carlo-based techniques have the potential to become useful tools for exploiting spectral UV measurements and for ensuring their quality. In a context of climate change, quality-ensured UV series are required for an improved understanding of the global UV climate.
