This book is a description about the study of Alcohol and Nicotine Consumption, its Psychological and Genetic Association among the Pana and Munda Communities in Sukinda Block of Jajpur District, Odisha, India. Alcohol studies are not new for anthropologist. Since 19th century, an "anthropological perspective" has been alive and well in field work and writing about alcohol consumption among newly discovered populations and ancient cultures. An alcoholic means a Pearson, alcoholism means illness. Alcoholism is a long term (chronic) disease otherwise known as Alcohol Use disorder (AUD). The persons who consume alcohol are obsessed with alcohol and cannot control how much they consume, even if it is causing serious problems at home, work and financially.
