Endodontic instruments made of NiTi shape-memory alloy have had a revolutionary impact on root canal treatment. This development has fostered a significant amount of research that is focused on enhancing metallic properties to improve clinical performance and safety which will significantly affect the outcome of root canal shaping and cleaning. However, the dentists are facing so many challenges and obstacles while doing root canal treatment as there is no one size that fits all canal shapes and sizes. Keeping in mind the limitation of different file systems, the dentist should wisely choose amongst various rotary systems relying on clinical expertise and available evidence.
