The Effectiveness of Extracurricular Activities

The process of teaching and learning is a two-way process in which teaching is based on the initiative and creativity of the teacher and learning is based on the concepts and objectives of the lesson, so that both sides of the process, the teacher and the learner, participate in this activity.The activities that are used based on the innovation and initiative of teachers along with teaching and based on teaching the concepts and objectives of the lesson and are carried out inside or outside the classroom are called complementary activities. If these activities are based on specific regional or climatic conditions or are aimed at training the special talents of learners, it is called an extracurricular activity. At the beginning of the academic year, the school council members set one-year goals according to the interests and needs of the students. For this purpose, some activities and programs are planned to be implemented within one year under the supervision of all factors. The importance of extracurricular and supplementary activities in schools is not knowledge transfer.
