Play and Playfulness in the Socialisation of Children

This book is a response to the scarcity of literature on the subject in Angola, on the one hand, and on the other, a modest contribution to understanding the socialisation of children in early childhood, using play and games. As such, it represents a valuable tool in the hands of education specialists and early childhood educators in general, and in particular the reader interested in a better future, against the backdrop of early childhood education. This book demonstrates the infinite possibilities that the educator has when making use of the child's socio-cultural reality, in order to enhance the different modes of interaction that they establish in their daily lives and develop them as a didactic resource at the service of strengthening the social competences necessary for the child's social integration at this stage of life. In this book we try to bring up issues that will allow us to understand, for example, the nuances of a hypermature child, the well-behaved child and also the child who doesn't play.
