The tambaqui (Colossoma macropomum) has high potential for zootechnical exploitation because, as well as having highly prized meat, it can reach a commercial size of around 1kg in the first year of rearing in captivity. Therefore, in this book I present the results of research carried out with the aim of determining the effects of crude protein levels and their reduction, with amino acid supplementation based on the ideal protein concept, in rations for tambaqui fry.
