Based on our experience of supervising a group of some thirty priest-exorcists and exorcism teams from Basse-Normandie, Brittany and the Pays de Loire once a year, we became interested in popular magico-religious practices such as those of "healers", "magnetizers" and "dowsers", and it appeared to us that the most suitable grid for this kind of field was represented by an anthropological approach.
