Sustainable rural tourism model

Sustainable rural tourism is one of the most demanded modalities by tourists today, due to the activities that are carried out in it and, above all, the experiences that are obtained through its realization. In the case study, the rural parish of Puerto Cayo has several tourist attractions that can be sustainably exploited through this modality. That is why this research proposal aims to promote sustainable rural tourism as a complementary tourism modality applicable in the locality, thus obtaining an optimal sustainable use of the tourism potential of the parish. In the same way, it seeks to promote the tourist development of the place through the creation of products, activities and other sustainable rural tourism proposals that are framed in a structured way in the action plan presented. Therefore, this will lead to job creation, improving the economic situation, preserving resources and promoting the care of the natural environment.
