Copper, cobalt, nickel, iron, and zinc complexes with ligands derived from pyridoxal were analyzed. The biological activity of these complexes on different cancerous cells was examined, including their ability to bind to protein chains such as Human and Bovine Serum Albumin (HAS, BSA) and Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA). Some complexes, particularly the copper complex with PLTSC, showed remarkable activity, even exhibiting a stronger effect than the currently used anticancer drug cisplatin.Additionally, the complexes were electrochemically tested as potential catalysts. Experimental data were summarized and analyzed to assess their effectiveness and potential applications for various practical purposes. These scientific investigations represent a significant step toward addressing the demand for active catalysts and the ongoing energy crisis. Furthermore, these complexes play a crucial role in the global fight against the increasing prevalence of cancer, as well as in their application against various strains of bacteria, viruses, and fungi.
