Science is presently undergoing a great evolution, taking humanity to a new era: the era of nanotechnology. Nanotechnology deals with the physical, chemical and biological properties of structures and their components at nanoscale dimensions. Nanotechnology is a novel field, which involves manipulation of matter at the molecular level, including individual molecules and the interactions among them. The use of this technology allow many developments in the health sciences as well as in materials science. Nanotechnology has been used to make a dental restorative composites that offers high translucency, high polish and polish retention while maintaining physical properties and wear resistance.
