This thesis aims to explore new writing strategies that challenge the conventions of both the traditional novel and the traditional film. Our work consists in demonstrating the presence of exofiction in Marianne Jaegl?'s Vincent qu'on assassine and in Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman's animated film La Passion Van Gogh. We began with a narratological analysis, drawing on the theories of G?rard Genette, to examine the narrative techniques employed in the novel and film. Next, we carried out a semiological analysis of the main characters portrayed in each work, inspired by the work of Philippe Hamon. Finally, we adopted a comparative approach, analyzing how exofiction is adapted from one medium to another, following the theories of Julia Kristeva.
