The emergence of regionalized public investment funds in France

The R?gions de France have their own private equity business. Clearly, this private equity activity is little known and little studied in academic research, where it is cited as a memorial in studies devoted to all forms of private equity. That's why we wanted to help make this activity, its foundations and procedures, easier to understand; to help raise the profile of its targets and the institutional financial engineering adopted; and to provide its characteristic features to help local start-ups make the most of it. And in doing so, we wanted, with the expected results, to enable other territories outside the hexagon, for example, and at their own discretion, to draw inspiration from it to carry the territorial dynamics of their economy with support for entrepreneurial innovation, through an implementation on the scale of their territory, for the benefit of local start-ups.Our objective will be achieved if this book sheds adequate light in understanding the foundations of this activity based on our model, the French model.
