Piano Hoje: uma introdução ao instrumento com sonoridades do nosso tempo

PIANO HOJE ? um livro bil?ngue - portugu?s e ingl?s - que contém exercícios e peças simples distribuídos de forma progressiva para familiarizar as e os iniciantes de piano - ou até aquelas e aqueles um pouco mais experientes - com as sonoridades dos séculos XX e XXI.

Nosso principal objetivo é iniciar a prática ao piano com sonoridades que fujam do paradigma tonal, apresentando logo de início as teclas pretas, música eletroacústica, a notação espacial e outras poéticas já consolidadas nas obras dos séculos XX e XXI, ao mesmo tempo em que treinamos a leitura das notas. Para as alunas e alunos mais experientes ou que ainda não tenham se aventurado pelo repertório não-tonal, acreditamos que estes pequenos exercícios sejam uma forma progressiva de escuta de uma música não mais calcada na tradição clássico-romântica.

Acreditamos que ao iniciar seus estudos com diferentes sonoridades, as futuras gerações de pianistas ampliarão suas escolhas de repertório, podendo encarar as "estranhezas sonoras" e dificuldades de leitura de uma Sequenza para piano de Luciano Berio, assim como de um estudo de Chopin.

TODAY PIANO is an U.S. English-Brazilian Portuguese book that contains exercises and simple progressive pieces arranged so as to make piano beginners, or even those with a little more experience, familiar with the sounds of the 20th and
21st centuries.

Our main goal is to start piano practice with sounds that avoid the tonal paradigm, by introducing from the outset black keys, electroacoustic music, spatial notation and other poetics already consolidated in the works of the 20th and 21st centuries, while at the same time developing pitch reading. For starters or more experienced students who have not ventured into the non-tonal repertoire yet, we believe that these small exercises will gradually acquaint them with listening to music no longer rooted in the classic-romantic tradition.

We believe that if students are exposed to different sounds when they start studying, future generations of pianists will expand their repertoire choices, as they will be able to face the "sound oddities" and score difficulties of a Piano Sequenza by Luciano Berio or a Chopinʼs Étude.
