The possession

"I wish I didn't have a mate," I said with hate and tears streaming down my bruised face. Daniel looked at me with cold, hard eyes.

"You say it like I haven't thought the same thing," he muttered.

My heart stung at his words, but I was used to them by now. My wolf hoped he would change, but he always reverted to his old ways.

"You're a monster, an unlovable, heartless monster."

I was trying to give him back the pain he gave me. Both emotionally and physically, I was ruined.
