Brazilian politician Marielle Franco has become a world reference in the fight for human rights, not only for her actions, but also for her brutal murder in 2018. Born in the Complexo da Mar? community, one of Rio de Janeiro's largest favelas, Marielle became a sociologist and one of the city's most voted councillors. Her fight for black feminism, against police oppression and for favela culture and LGBTQIAP+ rights and her striking image are told in this photobiography, which includes texts by her and around 80 photos from her trajectory.
