(It's Not All) Sunshine and Lollipops

It's not all sunshine and lollipops, real life isn't perfect and without its tough times. They are what make the good times sweeter. I found solace in my own dark times through writing poems, both the therapeutic act of getting it out as well as words to remind me what I'm capable of and to give me a confidence boost. So here are a compilation of poems to read when you've had a bad day, lost your confidence or even just need a little pick me up. Hopefully they will resonate with you too. And be a reminder that we're all on different paths in life, we all experience bad times and it's ok to feel sad, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I am no expert and have little words of wisdom, these poems are just a reflection of my own experiences. With the many contradictions life brings along, we are all navigating it the best we can and need to remember we have our own unique greatness to offer. We very often are succumbing to the pressures of society but it's ok to change that narrative with whatever brings you happiness."
