One of the oldest Chinese pharmacopoeias is the well-known book "Shennong Ben Cao Jing," which is credited to Emperor Shennong. It is the cornerstone of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), classifying hundreds of herbs according to their therapeutic qualities.
