KhakoN ke Rang -3: (Humorous Sketches and Letters)

Shaukat Thanvi, the prominent humorist of the Urdu world, had full access to many genres of Urdu literature at the same time. He was a prolific journalist, columnist, novelist, fiction writer, dramatist and radio feature writer. His style of writing is still popular among the readers due to its cheerfulness and boldness. Shaukat Thanvi has written letters to about fifty renown Urdu celebrities in the form of humor. And in these letters he has borrowed the style of Maulana Azad's famous book "Ghubaar-e-Khatir". This book "KhakoN ke Rang -3" contains a few such sketches and letters.

اردو دنیا کے ممتاز مزاح نگار شوکت تھانوی بیک وقت اردو ادب کی کئی اصناف پر مکمل دسترس رکھتے تھے۔ وہ ایک بہترین صحافی ، کالم نگار، ناول نگار، افسانہ نگار، ڈرامہ نگار اور ریڈیو فیچر نگار تھے۔ ان کا طرز تحریر اپنی شگفتگی اور برجستگی کے سبب آج بھی قارئین میں مقبول ہے۔ اپنی کتاب "بارِ خاطر" میں شوکت تھانوی نے طنز و مزاح کی شکل میں تقریباً پچاس مشاہیر کے نام مکاتیب تحریر کیے ہیں۔ اور ان خطوط میں انہوں نے مولانا آزاد کی مشہور کتاب "غبارِ خاطر" کا طرز مستعار لیا ہے۔ یہ کتاب "بارِ خاطر" سے منتخب شدہ چند خاکوں پر مشتمل ہے۔
