The present book is a step forward to capture current insight of animal husbandry practices in India. It takes a view on structural bottlenecks in the concerned government organizations of the state and central governments, perception of stakeholders including NGO's, innovation at international levels; and the issues to be addressed and the policy support required for the development of forage resources in the hilly as well as the plain agro-eco regions of the country.
