Ministerial Ethics: Moral Theology

God, the creator of man and the universe, is God of principles and a lawgiver. In his character and dealings with man, he operates by the principles and laws he has given. The world and the whole universe operate by the natural laws of the Great Law Giver.

In consonance with God, different professions have their own code of conduct, otherwise called professional ethics, which all their members are committed to in carrying out their professional duties. Hence, there is medical ethics, legal ethics, business ethics, and ministerial ethics, to mention but a few. The importance of professional ethics cannot be overemphasised. So also is the importance of ministerial ethics for church leaders and workers.

There is a dire need for a manual on ministerial ethics to serve as a guide to church leaders and workers so that their services will be acceptable to God and be a blessing to humanity and to the church where they serve. The dearth of written works on the subject of ministerial ethics informed the writing of this book. It serves as a manual for church leaders and workers. It also serves as resource material for teachers of ministerial ethics in theological institutions.
