Art, Society and Identity is an important and timely intervention in the study of postcolonial African literature given, not only its profound reading of select fictional, poetic and dramatic texts, but most crucially its comprehensive rebuttal of the postmodernist and poststructuralist invasion of the postcolonial African aesthetic domain.
