The Healing Power of Laughter

Children, they say, laugh 300 times a day while adults, 10% of that in a week. The outcome of this scarcity in adult life has resulted in a lot of stress related illnesses, premature aging and premature deaths. The kind of life we have chosen has more serious effects than we know. If laughter increases blood flow, boosts the immune system, lowers high PB, reduces pain, gives you a hearty and positive outlook to life, just imagine the harm we cause when we deprive ourselves of joy and laughter.

Much of this will go away if we just learn how to deal with stress properly. One of the greatest stress relievers God's given us is laughter. Laughter is like taking medicine according to the Bible.

Most people today don't laugh as much as they should. They don't factor recreation, fun and laughter into their too busy schedules. They're too stressed up to have any fun but we need to get back in balance. Life is not supposed to be all work and no play. You need to develop your sense of humor by looking for opportunities to laugh. Scriptures say God laughs and has given us this ability to enable us to live and stay healthy. Therefore, train yourself to laugh more especially during difficult times.

It is healthy to have fun.
