Fragments of a Memory

When thinking about something in the past, memories are sometimes incomplete, just a hint, that your thoughts try to complete to rebuild the memory. This becomes hard when you suffer from Alzheimer's. Alzheimer's sufferer Doug Leybourne's fragments of memories cover life in wartime Britain, university and the dating scene in the early post-war years, military service in the Far East and immigration to both Canada and New Zealand. Throughout his fragments of memories, Doug brings to life his greatest passion, that of cycling, as he describes trips he has done on the wide range of bikes that he has used or owned, especially in France, where the world's greatest bike race, the Tour de France, is held annually.
