Maria, a high school senior--president of the school's math club--and sole provider for a family of 4, has the weight of the world on her shoulders. Things get worse when her family faces eviction. With nowhere to go, she strikes a deal for them to live with the VP of the math club, Juan, a student she does not get along with. She desperately needs a place to stay, and he needs her help with his escape plan.
