As more and more of the truth behind the Knight and its creation is revealed, Mercury and her brothers refuse to run from the darkness of the Knight. Instead, they will watch and plan. Waiting for the right moments to take action. One by one, members of the Knight are being removed, bringing Knight City one step closer to the light.

Mercury's family slowly gets bigger when more individuals are saved from the Knight and brought in. Mercury, herself, even finds herself stepping into the role of mother for a small little boy, Axel.

Through it all, Mercury finds herself struggling to set aside old connections and feelings from her youth with the Knight. Especially when she comes across the man who stood by her side until he was ripped from her and locked away.

Warning: This book is part of a series and should be read in order. There is also a cliffhanger at the end that is resolved in the last book and, like the first book, may have some triggering scenes.
