The Game We Play

A Grim Reaper's life is filled with loneliness, despair, tragedy, and grief. It is a life of inescapable sorrow, a life with which Lucia had been well acquainted. But, just before she yielded hope in ever relieving herself from such a fate, something strange occurred. A favored pastime, to drink away her sorrows in the evening, led to her awakening within a dark cave. Three others, similar in state, awoke beside her. And though the Grim Reaper had been blessed with significant power capable of defeating a god, Lucia found herself battered and beaten along with the strangers. Perhaps it was a coincidence, but her life played out the legend of the chaotic dragon god's return by the letter. Were they indeed the four heroes from the legend that would thwart the chaotic return of the dragon god? Would they study magic and become the next Magi to accomplish such a feat? What lay ahead, nobody could have predicted.
