The political landscape is changing, and with the voters abandoning the two-party system in droves, the Crossbench have never held such power in their hands before. Following a landslide by-election, neither major party - the Democratic Unprogressive Millionaires and Billionaires, and the Socialist Libertarian Anti-Autocratic Governance Parties - have the numbers needed to form a majority government.

It's up to Mike Laycock and his fellow Crossbenchers to negotiate with the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition, securing the best deals they can for the good of the nation.

But some leaders play hardball, and when revenge is on the cards, even the best deals can fall flat before they hit the table. For some, it's an opportunity for change, and for others, it's an outright power grab.
