Within these pages is the story of a girl from West Virginia. One who dreamed of changing the world and living in the pages of her favorite books. She loved her books more than anything else because they allowed her to escape her world and believe that she could fight back against the monsters in it. A world of screams, abuse, addiction, and shattered hearts. A world that told her she was never enough. An ungenuine world that taught her conditions and the sting of betrayal and shame.

Now, at 35, I reflect on the events of my life that helped mold me into the person I am today and the lessons I've learned along the way. This story is about how I, a little girl from a small town in West Virginia, stopped hiding from my past, reclaimed my power, forgave myself, and chose to live happy, successful, and limitless. And how you can too.
