After reverse-engineering an alien technology, a scientist is sent out to discover its origin.

The responsibility to act is a burden felt by most, but few dare to accept it. Having no other choice, Commander Victor Gray, isolated and without everything he holds dear, slowly drifts toward a newly discovered planet. Tormented by the inner demons he thinks he left at home, Victor seeks to stop a new force that threatens to disrupt the balance of his world.
