Annah Wright was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in the very Santa Teresa district she so lovingly describes. She moved out of Brazil after her marriage to American John Wright and they lived in Portugal and Indonesia before settling in East Texas. Annah is a retired educator and a world traveler. She speaks several languages and holds degrees in psychology and bilingual education. Annah lives in Texas with her husband John and the couple has two sons.
