After struggling to process her own emotions dealing with loss at 19, it was important for Jonas to focus the book on the positives: the love, care, and memories left behind. A space pirate named Ham goes on an epic journey to find where love lives, only to find out that it may be closer than it seems... He travels to far-off worlds, meets colorful aliens, and learns that love may not be so far away.

Jonas was born and raised in Sarasota, FL. At just 19, one of her best friends passed away, leaving her with grief, hurt, and confusion. After some years of healing, her grief journey began to be processed through her creative expression in art and poetry.
