Ashton has never known a world without the Black Sand threatening his life or invading his dreams. Every night he sees a desert planet and a creature that controls the Black Sand plague that ravaged the known universe.

But why is he the only one who has these dreams?

After escaping the Quarantine Zone to find answers, he meets Spencer, who spends his time exploring The Beyond with a scattered group of rogue space explorers. Though, even they have never seen or heard of a desert planet like the one Ashton seeks.

How is he going to find it if they can't?

Can he even stop the Black Sand if he does find the source, or is he going to be the reason it starts killing once again?
