Lula's Little Stand

Luana "Lula" Latchman was ecstatic about her move to the United States from Guyana, South America. She couldn't wait to see the sights, taste the many flavors of American food, and feel the cold hand of winter. However, what she was most excited about was making new friends.

As she enters her new school, expecting to start all sorts of friendships, she is disappointed when she's made fun of and ridiculed by her peers. It's not until an academic competition and a lemonade contest that she finally makes new friends and begins to live her American dream.
