When you think of imprisonment, you think of someone who committed a crime and is left behind bars, paying the price for their infraction. However, in this scenario, Star was the prisoner who was mentally bound to a marriage bid. Her time served wasn't attributed to committing a crime. For better or worse was her heart's desire, which left her in bondage longer than she could easily endure. At any given time, she could have set herself free, but the fear of failing held her hostage, residing in hell on earth. When enough was finally enough, she surrendered herself over to God.
