Killing your abusive husband should be hard, but Maria Fever is finding that pretending she didn't is even harder. So the dead last thing she needs is to be drawn towards the reality tv detective that could ruin her life, particularly as the news crews and wannabe sleuths take over Main Street. It doesn't help that the detective is Hollywood-level hot.

Shane Bolles is used to keeping secrets. After all, he's hidden his obscure, dark talent for solving crimes for years. However, he's never solved a case without his special ability. He's also never been attracted to a murderer either, but hey, there's a first time for everything.

As the leaves turn from gold to brown and more bodies begin to pile up, Maria and Shane find themselves the unlikeliest of partners to stop another murder in their quaint town before that person strikes again.
