This is a book of poetry about oystering, oysters and others bivalves, just as the title suggests. It is about catching, shucking, eating and generally revering oysters with a few nods to other bivalves such as clams, scallops, geoducks and other bivalves. Many of the poems are humorous. Some are melancholy and nostalgic. There are even a few recipes at the end to enjoy along with the poems! We have to wonder, has anyone ever written more poems about the oyster?
