Doctor Soren Grant has always found ways to explain the unexplained, using science as his steadfast guiding beacon. But the astrophysicist sees all that change when he encounters a meteorite containing a metal from beyond the known galaxy.

When he finds himself struck by one such space rock, superhuman powers awaken inside of him, and he finds it becomes his duty to use them for the good of humanity. And he learns there is much to gain--and lose--when one treads in the soles of a hero.
