Young Man Grown Old: A Poet's Journey Home

My grandfather started writing poetry during the Second World War. A young navy corpsman, far from his small hometown in rural Minnesota, he composed love letters to a bride he had not yet met. He described a home on a creek that had yet to be built, full of children yet to be born.
