Nothing in Barney and Fran Myer's initial meeting on the pickleball court indicated that they would go beyond playing a few games together. Nor would another brief pickleball match years later hint at the deep love and transformative impact they would have on each other's lives.

Their dynamic relationship played a pivotal role in the rapid growth of pickleball, propelling it to become the fastest-growing sport. As a pickleball power couple, they not only contributed to the sport's expansion but also played a part in establishing the USAPA, now known as USA Pickleball.
