Embracing the Armor of God

As Christians, we are ravaged with headlines in the papers, news on TV, and updates on our computers, not to mention our personal hardships and troubles. It begs the question: how are we supposed to navigate these challenging times? Thankfully, God has provided us with His armor, which is readily available to us. By delving into the teachings of Ephesians 6, we can understand what this armor entails and how we can effectively utilize it. We will take a closer look at each component of this spiritual armor - the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit. We will also examine the reasons behind making these elements available to us.
