It's the annual grouse shoot at Thornehurst Grange and Penny, along with her little dog Fischer, takes her annual walk to protest at the gate.

Hers is a silent demonstration, but this year the crowd is bigger than ever and, unusually, made up of two distinct factions.
When the underlying tension magnifies, Penny decides to leave before she's embroiled in a riot, but she's not gone far when a smoke bomb is thrown. Fischer slips his lead and when the thick fog clears, he's guarding a body.
