After surviving on her own for three years as a runaway, 16-year-old Kaitlin has 'all-the-right-stuff' when the power-grid goes down.

Now--with society falling apart and outlaws controlling the roads--her survival instincts tell her to hunker down, but the older couple who were giving her a ride is worried for their family ... they want to go home.
