Born in a ghetto in the outskirts of the city of Nakuru, Peter Muya was raised in Kiambogo settlement farm by poverty-stricken parents. He became a village farmer who endured suffering from famine drought and floods because of climate change. He hustled up food and jobs and burnt charcoal to feed his siblings.
