Kiranah wakes up in a frozen battlefield on her home planet of Vaskora, the last living person of her clan-the rest wiped out only hours before. She struggles to the safety of a mysterious reservoir, but it takes her farther than she had ever expected. To a whole new area. A new world.

Dreynos is a hermit living a life of solitude on the planet Feliosa until he finds Kiranah floating within the stream, wounded and near death. He takes her in, healing her and training her in the way of his world.

But as their training, and their bond, deepens, Dreynos notices something different about Kiranah. She has a special power, an ability beyond anything he has ever seen. That power must be controlled before she causes harm to someone or herself.
