As the dragon Sea Clan's general, Faille is tasked with protecting their territory from the dangerous renegade fey, Emyrandal. His mission, however, forces him to explore the dusty archives, a place he loathes, in order to uncover the secrets of forgotten magic that Emyrandal seeks.

Driven by her insatiable curiosity and a need to protect her secretive Waterfey clan, mermaid Daelya defies her clan leader's orders and infiltrates the Sea Clan archives, hoping her knowledge of ancient lore will reveal the fey's target.

A late-night encounter in the archive throws Faille and Daelya together. Mistaking Daelya for a visiting scholar, Faille enlists her help, unaware of her true nature. Bound by a shared goal, they embark on a perilous quest to uncover Emyrandal's plan.

But when Faille discovers Daelya's secret, his trust shatters.

Trapped together within a cavern adorned with ancient runes and dangerous revelations, they must confront not only the imminent threat of Emyrandal but also the unresolved echoes the past, a childhood rescue lost to memory, and clan mysteries both are sworn to protect.

Will their fragile alliance survive long enough to stop Emyrandal? Or will the secrets between them drown them both?
